The other two finalists, both from India were the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and ActionAid India.

Each, represented by three members of their project teams (including someone working in the field), presented their projects to a panel of expert judges led by broadcaster Michael Buerk, at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, UK, on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

Each won $US15,000 which was presented by HRH The Princess Royal. Entries for the 2014 Prize closed at midnight (GMT) on July 31, 2014.

  • The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), India: for its ‘Protection and Livelihood Assistance to Sri Lankan refugees’ project, working across 54 camps in 18 districts of Tamil Nadu, India.

  • ActionAid India for the project: Humanitarian support for internally displaced tribal communities in Khammam District, Andhra Pradesh, India.
